Building An Authoritative Travel Blog

Authoritative blogs seem all the rage at the moment but what exactly is an " Authoritative Travel Blog ?" Well my understanding of the matter is it is a blog that is not only very informative to the readers but that the information comes from authoritative type people in connection with what they are writing about.

Hopefully my articles below will give an insight on travel and travel related experiences from all over the world from many authoritative writers as they have been there and done that.

Articles will be and are published often and this means current travel experiences and up to date places to visit. If you have also visited these places or wish to comment then please do so remembering this blog is intended to family orientated visitors so please be respectful.

I have seen many fears raised through my article site and feel that any traveller today that, for one reason or another, decides against travel insurance then they are possibly being a little short sighted. We do not want our boats to sink but are happy to carry life rafts. travel insurance is a similar idea. We do not wish to ever claim on it but if things go wrong as they sometimes do it is a benifit to have the insurance.

A new option for New York Travelers to Experience New York City

By Samuel Cook

New York City can easily be seen by bus or by boat; but what if you want to see the city the way New Yorkers do: on foot? There are not a lot of options for travelers and the existing tours completely neglect the famous nightlife of New York City, something which should be seen and experienced by visitors.

Uncle Sam's New York has stepped in to fill this void and provide consistent, daily historical walking tours that New York city visitors can count on. More importantly, Uncle Sam's New York is the only company that offers walking tours that are interactive experiences for the visitors.

The historical walking tours offered by Uncle Sam's New York provide a fresh view of the real history of classic New York City neighborhoods. Instead of aimlessly wandering around a neighborhood, Uncle Sam's New York provides a fascinating narrative that captures the heart of the story of each neighborhood.

For the historical walking tours, Uncle Sam's New York has chosen famous New Yorkers to symbolize the story of that particular neighborhood. The Alexander Hamilton Financial District tour covers the oldest part of Manhattan. The Edgar Allan Poe Greenwich Village tour covers the classic bohemian artistic heart of the city. The George M. Cohan Theater District tour covers the iconic Times Square that is the heart of New York City?s Broadway shows.

This is the first tour which Uncle Sam's New York offered to visitors and includes Wall Street, Bowling Green, Fraunces Tavern, the World Trade Center site and Battery Park. This walk takes visitors through the earliest days of New York City, when it was a Dutch settlement all the way through to the city's emergence as the financial capital of the world. The story is told through Alexander Hamilton; a man who was a prime example of the immigrant spirit of New York City, rising from a penniless youth as an immigrant and becoming the first Secretary of the Treasury.

The Edgar Allan Poe Greenwich Village Tour traces the neighborhood where American literature, painting, cinema, and modern music got their start. This stroll through the winding, twisted streets of Greenwich Village takes you from the Washington Square Arch to the folk music clubs of Bleecker Street. Named after the father of American Poetry, this tour will discover the origins of the neighborhood that became the incubator for the art movements in the United States from American Theater to folk rock and stand-up comedy.

Tour goers give their regards to Broadway on the George M. Cohan Theater District Tour that takes visitors on a voyage into the heart of the most famous theater district in the world. As told from point of view of the original Yankee Doodle Dandy, you'll see iconic theaters including the New Amsterdam, the Imperial, and the Palace. Sing and dance along with your favorite artists as you follow them through Shubert Alley and learn about the fascinating history of most incredible theatrical and musical performances in and around Times Square.

Uncle Sam's New York Historical walking tours provide a unique experience for New York City visitors. Instead of just providing information, these themed tours allow guests an entertaining narrative through which to view the essential stories of these iconic neighborhoods.

Uncle Sam's New York also gives its visitors a way to remember their special experiences in these New York City landmarks by providing a photographer on every tour to provide visitors a way to remember their experiences when they leave New York City. By going to Uncle Sam's New York website (www.unclesamsnewyork(dot) com) after the tour, visitors can view their photos of the walking tours at the top New York City landmarks and take them home with them.
