Building An Authoritative Travel Blog

Authoritative blogs seem all the rage at the moment but what exactly is an " Authoritative Travel Blog ?" Well my understanding of the matter is it is a blog that is not only very informative to the readers but that the information comes from authoritative type people in connection with what they are writing about.

Hopefully my articles below will give an insight on travel and travel related experiences from all over the world from many authoritative writers as they have been there and done that.

Articles will be and are published often and this means current travel experiences and up to date places to visit. If you have also visited these places or wish to comment then please do so remembering this blog is intended to family orientated visitors so please be respectful.

I have seen many fears raised through my article site and feel that any traveller today that, for one reason or another, decides against travel insurance then they are possibly being a little short sighted. We do not want our boats to sink but are happy to carry life rafts. travel insurance is a similar idea. We do not wish to ever claim on it but if things go wrong as they sometimes do it is a benifit to have the insurance.

Airtravel Resources - Traveling with Sports Equipment

By Tanja Martens

Are you an avid sports fan? If so, there is a good chance that they try to incorporate sport into their next vacation or business trip. If you are about to enjoy a game of golf or a game of baseball, it is likely that you want to bring with you some sports teams. But did you know that there are certain restrictions on those items? If you plan to travel with sports equipment, no matter what sport it is for the team, you may want to familiarize themselves with these rules and restrictions.

As mentioned earlier, golf is a sport that many travelers enjoy participating in. If you plan to travel with their golf clubs, will have to treat them as checked baggage. All airlines currently have a ban on golf clubs to be used as carryon luggage. Because of the cost of most sets of golf club, or want to leave your home or in clubs to protect them adequately. If you travel to a golf resort or other popular holiday destination, there is a good chance that you should be able to rent a set of clubs. Although it will not be yours, it is good to know that a whole was safe at home.

In addition to golf, baseball is a sport enjoyed by many. Like golf clubs, baseball is forbidden to serve as carryon luggage. If you plan to enjoy a game of baseball, during your next vacation or business trip, you want to store your baseball bats in a suitcase that can be securely transported safely through various airports. While baseball are banned from aircraft cabins, there is no mention of other equipment, such as spikes, helmets, or baseball. For your convenience, you can store these other supplies baseball in the same place as your baseball bat, in your checked luggage.

Of course, if you are planning to enjoy hunting, when on vacation or a business trip, you will have to keep their supplies in your checked baggage. All bows, arrows, and firearms are strictly prohibited from being in aircraft cabins. In fact, if you try to pass through a security checkpoint with these items, it is an excellent opportunity to be stopped by airport security, for further interrogation. Although it may not necessarily think, bows, arrows, and firearms are not only used for recreational purposes, but also are used to harm others.

Sports items which are prohibited extra to be included in carryon luggage include pool cues, ski poles, lacrosse sticks, or hockey sticks. As with all other issues, if you are concerned about the security of your sports equipment, it is advisable to reconsider your decision to make this equipment long. You can help protect your equipment, making sure that everything is packaged properly and safely, but there are no guarantees. You are also advised against relying on compensation by the airlines, if and when your sports equipment was severely damaged.

As previously mentioned, there are sporting goods, which are altogether banned, but other rules are not so clear. If you are trying to decide whether or not you can pack other equipment in your carryon baggage, such as masks or other protective gear, it is advisable to call in the morning before leaving for the airport. In the event that these items are banned, you may have to make other arrangements. Regardless of whether you choose the items back to your car or by mail to your home, you may needlessly wasting time and money.
