Building An Authoritative Travel Blog

Authoritative blogs seem all the rage at the moment but what exactly is an " Authoritative Travel Blog ?" Well my understanding of the matter is it is a blog that is not only very informative to the readers but that the information comes from authoritative type people in connection with what they are writing about.

Hopefully my articles below will give an insight on travel and travel related experiences from all over the world from many authoritative writers as they have been there and done that.

Articles will be and are published often and this means current travel experiences and up to date places to visit. If you have also visited these places or wish to comment then please do so remembering this blog is intended to family orientated visitors so please be respectful.

I have seen many fears raised through my article site and feel that any traveller today that, for one reason or another, decides against travel insurance then they are possibly being a little short sighted. We do not want our boats to sink but are happy to carry life rafts. travel insurance is a similar idea. We do not wish to ever claim on it but if things go wrong as they sometimes do it is a benifit to have the insurance.

Llandudno Beach and Other Attractions

By Peter Hughes

North Wales is an ideal holiday location with beautiful scenery and excellent beaches and there is no better place than Llandudno. The town has a beautiful Victorian promenade which is lined with hotels and guest houses and is close to the town centre. Llandudno promenade curves beautifully for well over a mile between the Great and Little Orme's. Llandudno's main beach is called the North Shore and follows the promenade with acres of golden sand to explore.

To the western end of the beach lies the Great Orme, which is only a short walk away and Llandudno's most recognisable landmark. The Great Orme is a wonderful location to explore with lot's of country walks and great attractions such as Happy Valley, Llandudno Ski Slope, and The Great Orme Visitor Centre. If you're feeling fit you can easily walk to the summit and enjoy wonderful views of the North Wales coastline as far away as Anglesey and Rhyl.

There are of course easier ways than walking to reach the Great Orme summit and two of the nicest are the Great Orme Tramway and the Great Orme cable car. The Great Orme Tramway is just five minutes walk from the beach and takes you on a steep journey to the summit on Victorian trams that date back over 100 years. Alternatively if you fancy some terrific views of Llandudno bay then walk to Happy Valley and ride the Great Orme cable car to the summit. A great alternative to to ride up to the summit on one and descend on the other.

If you want to stay nearer the beach then Llandudno Pier will surely tempt you as it stretches out towards the Irish Sea. The Victorian pier was built over 100 years ago and still retains much of its original charm. There are a range of small shops and kiosks that line the pier as you walk along it and make sure you turn around and have a camera ready for some terrific photographs of the beach and promenade. The pier has a large play area with bouncy castles and amusement arcades to keep the children entertained when you fancy a break and a Punch and Judy show will entertain younger children by the pier entrance.

After a fun day on Llandudno beach you'll be looking for quality refreshments and there's plenty of places to entertain you and grab something to eat. Mostyn Street, Llandudno's main shopping area, is only two minutes from the North Shore and is lined with cafes and coffee houses. If you're looking for something a little more formal there are plenty of local restaurants to choose from catering to all tastes from British Cuisine to Italian and Indian or why not clean up and enjoy a night at the North Wales Theatre which is located on the promenade.

Whatever you want on a holiday if a beautiful beach is essential then Llandudno is the perfect destination. Your accommodation is close by and there's more than enough great attractions to keep the children entertained. At the end of the day your accommodation awaits and then it's onwards into the night to enjoy Llandudno's nightlife.
