Building An Authoritative Travel Blog

Authoritative blogs seem all the rage at the moment but what exactly is an " Authoritative Travel Blog ?" Well my understanding of the matter is it is a blog that is not only very informative to the readers but that the information comes from authoritative type people in connection with what they are writing about.

Hopefully my articles below will give an insight on travel and travel related experiences from all over the world from many authoritative writers as they have been there and done that.

Articles will be and are published often and this means current travel experiences and up to date places to visit. If you have also visited these places or wish to comment then please do so remembering this blog is intended to family orientated visitors so please be respectful.

I have seen many fears raised through my article site and feel that any traveller today that, for one reason or another, decides against travel insurance then they are possibly being a little short sighted. We do not want our boats to sink but are happy to carry life rafts. travel insurance is a similar idea. We do not wish to ever claim on it but if things go wrong as they sometimes do it is a benifit to have the insurance.

Travel In Italy : Traveling To Rome

By Sean Davis

When visiting Rome, you have two choices for airports: the Fiumicino, otherwise known as the Leonardo da Vinci, and the Ciampino. The Fiumicino provides flights from all over the world and is the larger of the two, while the Ciampino is the more modest of the two and is generally utilized by economical and bargain airlines as well as charters.

Once you arrive in Rome, you'll have plenty of choices for transportation such as the subway, local taxis, buses, or trams. If you should choose a taxi, be sure to ask for the metered fare as opposed to the negotiated one. You can also hire your taxi driver to act as your local tour guide and show you all of the hot spots, provided you've got a suitable taxi driver.

There are many, many hotels in Rome, in a wide variety of price ranges. By staying in a hotel in the middle of the city, although the city is gigantic, you can still walk to many of the major attractions. Cheaper hotels may be further from the center of the city, but there are still transportation options that will get you to its major sites.

St. Peter's Basilica and the Vatican are definite must sees for those who have come with the purpose of experience all of the inspiring historical sites that Rome has to offer. At the Roman Forum, Coliseum, and Palantine Hill, you will see some of the most amazing and ancient Roman architecture.

If you want to take in a lot of different spots, you should probably think about getting a Roma Archeologia; with it you will receive admission to a large variety of sites in Rome.

Piazza di Spagna and the Spanish Steps, have to be visited, if you are looking for a place to shop when traveling to Rome. In this part of Rome, there are restaurants, bars, boutiques, and much more. You will find everything you are looking for here, all within walking distance from each other. You won't want to miss the exciting markets at the heart of Rome, either.
