Building An Authoritative Travel Blog

Authoritative blogs seem all the rage at the moment but what exactly is an " Authoritative Travel Blog ?" Well my understanding of the matter is it is a blog that is not only very informative to the readers but that the information comes from authoritative type people in connection with what they are writing about.

Hopefully my articles below will give an insight on travel and travel related experiences from all over the world from many authoritative writers as they have been there and done that.

Articles will be and are published often and this means current travel experiences and up to date places to visit. If you have also visited these places or wish to comment then please do so remembering this blog is intended to family orientated visitors so please be respectful.

I have seen many fears raised through my article site and feel that any traveller today that, for one reason or another, decides against travel insurance then they are possibly being a little short sighted. We do not want our boats to sink but are happy to carry life rafts. travel insurance is a similar idea. We do not wish to ever claim on it but if things go wrong as they sometimes do it is a benifit to have the insurance.

Attractions Of Nikko National Park

By Rin Yamada

Japan has a large number of beautiful tourist attractions that provide a unique balance of nature and urban chic. The ones that often come to mind under consideration are the parks that dot its landscape. These parks have Eastern and Western culture and design all mixed perfectly.

One of the most well known parks in Japan is the Nikko National Park. A visitor planning his own trip can arrive in Nikko about an hour from Tokyo either by car or train. The park is considered a national pride, and one can hardly disagree after seeing it splendid waterfalls, quiet lakes, lush greenery and mountainous landscapes.

The national park is the also the pride of the city Nikko in Japan. The small town population shares the park with a few other cities within the main prefecture although it is named after them. The townspeople are often busy tending to the thousands of visitors every year and have enjoyed prosperous times since opening up to the tourism trade.

There are many attractions within Nikko National Park itself and the first that comes to mind is the ancient architecture that is Toshogu Shrine. This shrine was home to 17th century shoguns and is a mausoleum that is considered symbolic. The details in the carvings that adorn its walls are incredible and one can spend hours just admiring the skills of the craftsmen who built the shrine.

Mount Nantai is perhaps the most visible sight in Nikko National Park. It is a dormant volcano not unlike Mount Fuji which is the biggest in Japan. Mount Nantai is comparatively smaller, but it is still an artistic piece that nature lovers will love and appreciate.

Equal to the majestic Mount Nantai is the massive Kegon Waterfall in Nikko National Park. At a height of 351 feet, the waterfall simply takes the breath away with its crashing falls and lush greenery that adorns its rocky walls. Many a film scene have been taken here in homage to it.

If one needs to go away for a day of peace and quiet in Nikko National Park, there is no better spot than right next to Lake Chuzenji. The lake is a by-product of Mount Nantai's volcanic eruptions many years ago. It is now a serene location that allows everyone to enjoy the beauty of nature and have time to him or herself.

While there are countless things to see and experience in the park, the busiest times it sees are during spring and autumn. These are the seasons in which the weather is perfect for both sightseeing in the country and the park obliges with its beautiful foliage. It is no wonder that so many busy Tokyo-ites also make the trip in order to escape from their busy lives for just a day.
