Encinitas is the quintessential Southern California beach town. Business people and surfers alike are lined up at Juanita's Taco Shop for lunch. The wide sidewalks along the historic Old Highway U.S. 101 in "downtown" is lined with outdoor restaurants. Tourists and kids are seen walking around downtown barefoot, in swim suits while other are waxing down their surfboards for a session at Moonlight Beach.

Only a three minute walk from Ann's Inn, Moonlight Beach is the perfect beach for a picnic, to swim, soak up sun, find a game of beach volleyball, go surfing, try boogie-boarding or body surfing, or just read a book.
