Building An Authoritative Travel Blog

Authoritative blogs seem all the rage at the moment but what exactly is an " Authoritative Travel Blog ?" Well my understanding of the matter is it is a blog that is not only very informative to the readers but that the information comes from authoritative type people in connection with what they are writing about.

Hopefully my articles below will give an insight on travel and travel related experiences from all over the world from many authoritative writers as they have been there and done that.

Articles will be and are published often and this means current travel experiences and up to date places to visit. If you have also visited these places or wish to comment then please do so remembering this blog is intended to family orientated visitors so please be respectful.

I have seen many fears raised through my article site and feel that any traveller today that, for one reason or another, decides against travel insurance then they are possibly being a little short sighted. We do not want our boats to sink but are happy to carry life rafts. travel insurance is a similar idea. We do not wish to ever claim on it but if things go wrong as they sometimes do it is a benifit to have the insurance.

Budget Conscious Road Trips in the Northwest. Destination Seattle

By Tim Palisades

The west coast of the United States is really booming when it comes to producing world class wines. Seattle and greater Washington are joining in the movement. There are an ever increasing number of wineries popping up to take advantage of the excellent soil quality and grape growing climate found in this region. A nice weekend getaway idea is to visit some of the local wine shops and taste the exceptional quality of wines these people are known for making.

The Space Needle in the city is a popular tourist destination. It has been part of the city's skyline since the early nineteen sixties. It was built to impress visitors to the World Fair. Visitors who aren't afraid of heights can go up more than 500 feet to look over Seattle like a bird does. There is a restaurant at the top of the Space Needle that serves great.

A great way to experience the local tastes in the Seattle area is to visit the Pike Place farmers' market. It is a favorite shopping center for local residents as well as visitors. There are all kinds of activities going on there. There are also many different varieties of food to sample and purchase. Make sure you get to see this place. You will not regret it.

Seattle has an interesting Native American tourist attraction called the Tillicum Village. The Tillicum Village is an island village where the local history of the Native Americas is experienced. You can learn all kinds of cool information regarding the early settlers of the northwestern United States.

Being a coastal city, Seattle has a large boating based industry. One part of that industry are the ferries. If you've ever taken a ferry before, it is a pretty interesting experience. You get a different look at downtown Seattle from the water. You'll notice the beauty of the surrounding areas. Make some time on your getaway to take a short ferry ride.

Common among other popular US destinations is the local city zoo. You can see a variety of animals and other exhibits there. It is the perfect place to take the family for a day. Check out the elephants and giraffes. They also have some activities that zoo goers can participate in like feeding the giraffes and making African bead bracelets. It makes for an enjoyable and relaxing afternoon.

Sports nuts from all over the place may enjoy seeing a professional game in one of Seattle's public arenas. Whether you're into football, baseball, basketball or hockey, Seattle has a team you can cheer for. If you plan accordingly, you might be able to catch an away game for your hometown's favorite team. Take in the power of a Seahawk's game while cheering against the visiting team.

Spend a Saturday crawling around the Seattle area microbreweries. For men, what could be more exciting? You can choose from a variety of lagers, ales and stouts ranging from light to full bodied. Make sure you try an ESB (extra special bitters) ale enjoyed at the Redhook Ale Brewery.
