Building An Authoritative Travel Blog

Authoritative blogs seem all the rage at the moment but what exactly is an " Authoritative Travel Blog ?" Well my understanding of the matter is it is a blog that is not only very informative to the readers but that the information comes from authoritative type people in connection with what they are writing about.

Hopefully my articles below will give an insight on travel and travel related experiences from all over the world from many authoritative writers as they have been there and done that.

Articles will be and are published often and this means current travel experiences and up to date places to visit. If you have also visited these places or wish to comment then please do so remembering this blog is intended to family orientated visitors so please be respectful.

I have seen many fears raised through my article site and feel that any traveller today that, for one reason or another, decides against travel insurance then they are possibly being a little short sighted. We do not want our boats to sink but are happy to carry life rafts. travel insurance is a similar idea. We do not wish to ever claim on it but if things go wrong as they sometimes do it is a benifit to have the insurance.

Tips for Traveling the World

By Gary Ardnt

Novices to international travel often ask, what special tips or knowledge should I know before I go traveling the world? While these individuals are correct in assuming that traversing the planet will indeed be different than a Sunday drive through the countryside or a weekend get-a-way to a neighboring state or province, they tend to overlook that the same common sense one employs in day to day life or casual domestic travel will serve them well abroad as well.

One of the most important things to remember when you travel is to watch yourself. A lot of people leave common sense behind them when they go overseas. However, just because you are in a different place doesn't mean safety should go out the window. While tourist areas in most country are safe, you do need to watch out for pickpockets and touts. Make sure you where a money belt and always say no to people who come up to you to sell things.

Budgeting is an important part of travel. You'll have many chances to spend money while you are traveling and if you are not careful, you'll find you constantly overspend. Make sure you create a tight budget before you go overseas so that you can accurately divide up your money. Otherwise, you run the risk of always spending. It's easier it is to spend than it is to save!

That being said, being familiar with your surroundings is perhaps the second most important tip to carry with you when traveling abroad. Try to stay in main tourist areas or on busy and well lit and open streets and throughways. If you need to travel into more "local" spots be sure you go during day time and always with people you trust and who can speak the local tongue if you yourself are not able to do so.

Moreover, it's helpful for you to be aware of the location of all local law enforcement buildings and offices and, if there is one in the country you find yourself in, the location of the embassy of your home nation. Countless world travelers have returned home with stories of both joy and horror that rested or fell on how well a traveler knew his surroundings. So in short, play it safe and stay close to others in your travel party or those your trust.

If you use these tips and advice on your next world travel trip, then you will be able to have a much more enjoyable time. These tips will keep you safe, help you travel easier, carry less, spend less, and interact with the locals more. It's a tall order but one these tips fulfill.
