Building An Authoritative Travel Blog

Authoritative blogs seem all the rage at the moment but what exactly is an " Authoritative Travel Blog ?" Well my understanding of the matter is it is a blog that is not only very informative to the readers but that the information comes from authoritative type people in connection with what they are writing about.

Hopefully my articles below will give an insight on travel and travel related experiences from all over the world from many authoritative writers as they have been there and done that.

Articles will be and are published often and this means current travel experiences and up to date places to visit. If you have also visited these places or wish to comment then please do so remembering this blog is intended to family orientated visitors so please be respectful.

I have seen many fears raised through my article site and feel that any traveller today that, for one reason or another, decides against travel insurance then they are possibly being a little short sighted. We do not want our boats to sink but are happy to carry life rafts. travel insurance is a similar idea. We do not wish to ever claim on it but if things go wrong as they sometimes do it is a benifit to have the insurance.

Winter Travel Destination Buffalo NY: How To Have Fun In The Snowy Season In Buffalo.

By Jack Pineczak

Everyone seems to know Buffalo New York for its nasty winters. But if you are a snow lover, there are many winter activities for you to enjoy. First, nothing beats attending a Buffalo Sabres game in late December or early January. Or, feel the excitement of more than seventy thousand psychos cheering for their beloved Bills football team while the snow is flying. Start your NFL game day Sunday by partying in the parking lot before the game. Munch down on a tub of of those spicy Buffalo wings. Guzzle some great Canadian beer or taste some local ale from a microbrewery.

Snowmobiling is a very popular winter activity in Buffalo. There are plenty of snowmobile shops to satisfy the demands of this fun loving industry. Some people like to load up their sleds on trailers and tow them into the really desolate areas in New York State for some major trail riding. They take week long excursions just to do some riding. Other people like to use the sled as a vehicle to go bar hopping. Heck, even the police have snowmobiles now. They chase these bar hoppers around dishing out tickets for driving under the influence.

Are you a skier? Skiing has become a pretty popular way to enjoy some of the Buffalo cold weather. There are several good slopes in the greater Western New York area. Excellent skiers will tell you that the ski slopes near Buffalo are rather small and nowhere near challenging enough for them. However, the people who live around Buffalo sure seem to make the best of them. I guess you could consider it a great place for amateurs. Even if you really don't feel like skiing, there is always the warm lodge where you can meet other people with similar interests.

Snowboarding is becoming increasingly more popular. In the early 1990s you might only have seen a few snowboarders here and there on the slopes. Now they are much more common. Just like skiing, the rolling hills south and east of Buffalo provide decentquality slopes for beginning snowboarders to practice on.

The whitetail deer hunting in the remote areas surrounding Buffalo brings in some monster bucks. Actually this is a late fall sport more so than a winter one. The season ends in most areas before winter actually starts. The deer population has really grown over recent years to provide a hunting environment that is like shooting fish in a barrel. This sport is so popular that many area high schools are sparsely populated during the first week of shotgun season.

For kids, the icy and snowy winters near Buffalo are great fun. There are a thousand ways for kids to have fun outside in the cold. Some children will their fair share of the traditional backyard sledding. Others will find a giant snow mound to carve a tunnel into. There is the ever popular snowball fight with the other kids who live nearby. For active kids there is a new sport called pond hockey. Actually it is an old kids' playtime activity turned into a sport. There are lots of really nice parks where groups of people can go tobogganing for free. You really don't need to be all that creative to come up with a great idea for enjoying the winter when you are in Buffalo. There really is a lot to do.
