Building An Authoritative Travel Blog

Authoritative blogs seem all the rage at the moment but what exactly is an " Authoritative Travel Blog ?" Well my understanding of the matter is it is a blog that is not only very informative to the readers but that the information comes from authoritative type people in connection with what they are writing about.

Hopefully my articles below will give an insight on travel and travel related experiences from all over the world from many authoritative writers as they have been there and done that.

Articles will be and are published often and this means current travel experiences and up to date places to visit. If you have also visited these places or wish to comment then please do so remembering this blog is intended to family orientated visitors so please be respectful.

I have seen many fears raised through my article site and feel that any traveller today that, for one reason or another, decides against travel insurance then they are possibly being a little short sighted. We do not want our boats to sink but are happy to carry life rafts. travel insurance is a similar idea. We do not wish to ever claim on it but if things go wrong as they sometimes do it is a benifit to have the insurance.

Basics in Selling Your Crafts

By Mara Hernandez-Capili

I have met many talented people in the field of crafts making and I can say that most of them have started their hobby one notch higher. They started selling their crafts and the income they receive from this made them quit their daytime jobs. They were able to transform a simple hobby to an income generating opportunity.

If youre a talented person or crafter and would like to transform your hobby into a business, then there are some tips on how you can get started. First step is you need to establish a name and logo for your business. It is always advisable to know what kind of customers or market you are tapping to do this successfully. A good business name and logo should also give a hint on what kind of product youre selling.

Next is to check out the local listings in your neighborhood to see the schedules of craft fairs or craft shows. Your goal here is to participate in these events by having an exhibit or booth dedicated to your crafts. You may get the contact persons in charge of the exhibitors and get in touch with them as to how you can be part of their fair. Remember to take note of some policies that they may bring up.

Consider your products prices and payment terms. You may want to give off specific discounts for customers willing to buy your crafts wholesale. Take into consideration also the product warranty and shipping charges just in case a customer wants her purchase to be delivered at home.

Last is to relax and get a good nights sleep before the event. Fairs can be pretty tiring especially if its your first time to participate. Nevertheless, expect to have lots of fun and learning as you become a full pledged businesswoman!
