Building An Authoritative Travel Blog

Authoritative blogs seem all the rage at the moment but what exactly is an " Authoritative Travel Blog ?" Well my understanding of the matter is it is a blog that is not only very informative to the readers but that the information comes from authoritative type people in connection with what they are writing about.

Hopefully my articles below will give an insight on travel and travel related experiences from all over the world from many authoritative writers as they have been there and done that.

Articles will be and are published often and this means current travel experiences and up to date places to visit. If you have also visited these places or wish to comment then please do so remembering this blog is intended to family orientated visitors so please be respectful.

I have seen many fears raised through my article site and feel that any traveller today that, for one reason or another, decides against travel insurance then they are possibly being a little short sighted. We do not want our boats to sink but are happy to carry life rafts. travel insurance is a similar idea. We do not wish to ever claim on it but if things go wrong as they sometimes do it is a benifit to have the insurance.

On the Way to Michigan Fairs and Festivals

By Gary Tristan

Activities are always abundant at fairs and festivals. There are always a variety of themes, from the traditional carnivals with sometimes a nod to the old renaissance niche some people like. But whatever the theme may be, there is always one common factor that makes these events the same in nature: The craft shows are always there.

Everyone appreciates an amazing work of art every so often, but purchasing a piece or two for your very one is even better. There's no better place to look around for the elegant, utilitarian, chic piece of artwork than in the different fairs and festivals that are happening around the Michigan State. Whether you're in the market for an elegantly carved piece of woodcraft, or looking for a richly embroidered piece of fabric to add decor in your home, you'll be sure to find them at these fairs.

Also, if you have some skill or talent of your own, you may also opt to showcase your stuff, instead. If you are skilled at glassblowing, for example, why not try showcasing your wares at a fare? Don't let just family and friends appreciate your art, it's a good idea to register at shows and let other people see what you can do. All it takes is a bit of looking around for the right event for you.

On the topic of choosing the appropriate festival or you, there are a couple of things that are to be considered. One, it is best if it's held in a place that is convenient to you. If you have to cross the Mackinac Bridge to get there, it may not be worth your effort. Travel expenses are part of working expenses and will be subtracted from whatever income you make there.

Next, it's also advisable to check out the craft show you are eyeing. Has it been successful in the past? If the show takes place annually, it's a good idea to ask around for the show's credentials. The event organizers will be glad to answer any questions you have. A craft show that does well is, of course, proud of their standing and will not mind answering such questions.
